He was predeceased by: his parents, David Phillip Edwards, Sr. and Mary Mildred Dawson Edwards; and his sister Janie Bell Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Kay M. Edwards; his sons, Phillip Edwards (Lori) of Holly Springs, NC and Ben Edwards (Amy) of Southport, NC; and his grandchildren, Dawson, Davis, Gaetano, Dylan, Anna Kay and Sean.
