It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Eugene Besancon Jr. of Southport, North Carolina, who passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Eugene Besancon Sr. and Lois Risser Besancon; and his brothers, Jeff Besancon and Harold Besancon. He is survived by: his wife Susan Compton Besancon; his children, Charles Eugene Besancon III (Sarah) of Peoria, Arizona and Rebecca Aline Lowe (Jason) of Ashburn, Virgina; his stepdaughters, Kathy Compton Loddekopinge (Fredrik) and Jennifer Compton Binsley (Jeff) of Mechanicsville, Virgina; his sister Ann Moore of Magnolia, Delaware; his grandchildren, Anna Besancon, Charles Besancon and Aiden Binsley; and his former wife Mayada.

In lieu of flowers, suggested donations might be made to the Wounded Warrior Relief Organization, American Cancer Society, or your local animal shelter.
