With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Ann Merritt (Southport, North Carolina), who passed away on March 2, 2020 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Hanson, Sr. and Patricia Scanlon Hanson; and her sister Denise McCoy. She is survived by: her husband Randy Merritt; her sons, Randy Merritt, Jr. (Meghan) and Jason Merritt; and her siblings, Earl Hanson, Jr. (Pam) and Patty Hoyle. She is also survived by four grandchildren, a great-grandson.
