She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyle Ralston Short and Teletha Irene Hague Short; her husband Ralph Alan Rieves; and her grandson Sam. She is survived by: her former husband Robert William McKinley; her children, Robert and Melinda; her stepchildren, Heather and Dan; and her children, Melanie and Rick. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She spent each day with Ralph throughout Covid supporting and loving him.
