He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Spencer and Linnie Singletary Spencer; and his sisters, Pat Hughes of Southport and Charlotte Walton of Southport. He is survived by: his children, Carey Wayne Spencer, Jr. (Susan) of Southport, David Ronald Spencer of Southport and Sharon Spencer Carlson of Southport; his grandchildren, Carey Wayne Spencer, III (Monica) of Mobile, Ala, Erin Ashburn Kenerley (Potter) of Greensboro, Joshua David Spencer of Denver and Brad Raymond Carlson, Jr. of Southport; and his great grandchild Emma Spencer of Birmingham, Ala.
