He was predeceased by: his parents, Amasa and May (Jane). He is survived by: his children, Lauren Morningstar, Karin Allen and Paul Tine; his sister Mary Peckens; and his friend Nikki Kessing. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Outer Banks SPCA.
