With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Atkinson Assad (Southern Pines, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2024 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel H. Oliver and Ula Oliver; her siblings, Virginia Elizabeth Oliver and John Samuel Oliver; and her son Christopher Scott Assad.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Herrin Crawford (Al) of Loganville, GA, Ashley Assad McKinney (David) of Cameron and Daniel Andrew Assad (Jamie) of Myrtle Beach, SC.; and her grandchildren, Webber Howe, Cody Howe, Daniella Howe Selfridge of Dayton, OH, Kaitlyn Crawford of Cumming, GA, Kelsey Crawford of Loganville, GA and Carli Simms of Columbia, SC..
