She is survived by: her sons, Kevin and Keith Hardt (Crystal); her grandson Gunnar Hardt; her sister Helga Staeger-Hillmann; her niece Susanne Hillmann of Frankfurt, Germany; and her friend Rosa Blair of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made 'In Memory Of' to Animal Advocates of Moore County, an organization that meant a great deal to Renate.
