With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Geneva Vangeline Woods of Southern Pines, North Carolina, born in Laurel Fork, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 16, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Geneva may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Geneva touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Nester and Guida Nester; her husband Dr. Louis J. Woods; her siblings, Gloria Nester Jennings, Clifford and Randolph Nester; and her nephew Mark Nester.
