He is survived by: his parents, Edward McGowan Hedgpeth and Marian Reese Hedgpeth; his wife Anne Terry Hedgpeth; his daughter Marian Wells Hedgpeth (Kevin) of Durham, NC; his stepdaughter Terry Anne; his husband Gus of Southern Pines, NC.; his sister Jane Hedgpeth Wells of Houston, TX.; and also, Seifert of Durham, NC, John Charles of Southern Pines, NC. and McGowan of Southern Pines, NC..
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the North Carolina Society to Prevent Blindness or to St. Stephens Church.
