She was predeceased by : her parents, Loyd Settlemyre and Elizabeth ToIan Settlemyre; her son John Charles McNeill; and her siblings, William Settlemyre, James Settlemyre, Robert Settlemyre and Susan Settlemyre.

She is survived by : her husband Donald McNeill; her daughter Susan Tolan McNeill Kight; and her grandsons, Cameron Stevens Kight (Alex Tolan Kight) and N. C..

She and her family attended the First Presbyterian church of Lenoir where she was president of the Women of the Church, a Sunday School teachers and secretary of the Foundation of the First Presbyterian Church (now Lenoir Presbyterian Church).
