He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Barney Jackson and Wilma McPherson Jackson; and his sister Lucille Nix. He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Ann Sawyer of South Mills, NC; his grandson George Calvin Upton, III of South Mills, NC; and his siblings, Doris Bobbitt of South Mills, NC and Lawrence B. Jackson, Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
