He was predeceased by: his parents, Eber Loyd Hilbert and Nancy Inez Harrell Coffman; his son Jeffrey O. Hilbert; and his sister Rita Garafola. He is survived by: his wife Mary Rhodes Hilbert; his children, Kathleen Ellis, Christine Burgess, Daniel Hilbert, Charles Hilbert and Gabriel Hilbert; and his stepson George Michael Bassett. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
