She is survived by: her husband Donald Autery; her children, Marie Sullivan (Charlie) of Elizabeth City, NC and J. R. Smith (Sandy) of Portsmouth, VA; and her sisters, Naomi King (Ernest) of Seagrove, NC and Cecilia Verdercame of Chesapeake, VA. She is also survived by four grandchildren; three great- grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
