It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avril McCoy (South Mills, North Carolina), born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on July 17, 2018, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Andrew Wilson; her husband Charles Everett; her son Larry Wayne McCoy; and her siblings, Hilda M. Davenport, Louise D. Dowdy, Edward R. Davenport and Marvin J. Davenport.
She is survived by: her parent Della Ann Phelps Davenport; her son Gary Van McCoy (Stacey) of South Mills; her sisters, Jean Rogerson (Marshall) of Elizabeth City and Juanita Staples (Ambrose) of South Mills; and her grandchildren, Andy (Mary), Hailey and Austin.
