He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Prevatte and Edna Pauline Causey Prevatte; and his brother Ricky Prevatte. He is survived by: his children, Amy Chase (Randy) and Brian Prevatte (Renee); his grandchildren, Tiffany Sheth (Neel) and Austin Barnes (Emma); and his sisters, Connie Pope and Cindy Moore (Jay). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of High Point, Marlboro Friends Meeting, or Jewel Baptist Church.
