She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Edgar Spence and Gladys Marie Williams Spence; her husband Bobby Lee Higgins; her son Doug Higgins; and her siblings, Gracie Sigmon of Bassett, VA, Josie Bowman of Claudeville, Virginia Brown of Lexington, Bobby Spence of Stuart, VA. and Raymond Spence of Stillwater, OK..
She is survived by: her children, Gwendolyn Higgins of Lexington, Randy Higgins (Cindy) of Clemmons and Tim Higgins (Jaimie) of Lexington.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Cancer Fund Raising for Matthew Higgins.
