It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Kennedy (Sophia, North Carolina), who passed away on July 27, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Maynard Kennedy and Annie Blair Kennedy; his former wives, Pauline Nelson Kennedy and Bobbie Tolson Kennedy; and his sons, Kyle Herbert Kennedy and Jeffery Mark Kennedy.

He is survived by: his daughter Kay Palmer (Jerry) of Sophia; and his grandchildren, Jordan Kennedy, Amber Kennedy, Philip Palmer and Rachel Palmer.
