She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey Lee Essick. She is survived by: her sons, Darrell Essick of Archdale, James Essick (Dawn) of Trinity and Gilbert Essick of Sophia; her sister Blanch Johnson of High Point; and her grandchildren, Nathan Essick (Jodi) of Sophia, Haley Hulin (Noah) of Thomasville, Christopher Essick and JT Love (Susan) of Roanoke, VA. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cumby Family Funeral Service - Archdale (206 Trindale Rd, Archdale, NC 27263). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Amity Hills Baptist Church (4140 U. S. Hwy 64 W, Asheboro, NC 27205).
