She was predeceased by: her parents, James Melvin Grainger and Effie Mae Fowler Grainger; and her siblings, James Franklin Grainger, Paul Donald Grainger, Georgia Alice Mincey, Annabelle Williamson and Bobbie Jean Herring.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Leon Small, Jr. (Lora) of Archdale, Shannon Small of Sophia, Terry Small (Rosa) of Asheboro and Crystal Danielle Small Frailey (Michael) of Lagrange; her sisters, Joanne Sanders of Sophia and Clarabelle Grice of Trinity; and her grandchildren, Kristen, Shana, Jessie, Hannah, Cassie, Heather, Shelia, Courtney, Dexter, Valerie and Seth. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Cumby Family Funeral Service - Archdale (206 Trindale Rd, Archdale, NC 27263). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service (206 Trindale Rd, Archdale, NC 27263). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery (4538 US-220, Asheboro, NC 27203).
