It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Wooten Johnson (Snow Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on January 12, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Wooten and Celester Wooten; her husband Bernie W. Johnson; her stepmother Mary Francis Wooten; and her siblings, Dorothy Dunn, Ray Wooten, Jimmy Wooten and Kenneth Wooten.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou Little (Ashley) of Farmville, Linda J. Taylor (George) of Farmville, Lisa J. Meadows (Todd) of Hookerton, Warren Johnson (Trish) of Hookerton and Bennie Johnson (Leslee) of Snow Hill; her grandchildren, Paula Wilson, Angela Eason, Chris Taylor, Amber Taylor, Meagan Finamore, Tyler Carter, Brandon Meadows, Amanda Nichols, Harlee Murray, Madison Johnson and Bennett Johnson; her siblings, Kaye W. Seymour of Snow Hill and Gene Wooten of Nashville; and her nieces, Dava Anderson of Dunn, Phyllis Guinn of Grifton and Peggy Sumrell. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
