She is survived by: her husband Michael F. Melrose; her children, Michelle R. Foster of Hunstville, Ala, Bobby Ray Melrose (Margaret) of Pikeville, Jerry Lee Melrose (Pamela) of Sneads Ferry and Edwin James Melrose (Emily) of Bailey; her niece Debbie Corbett of Goldsboro; and her pet Whiskey. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and her dear companion.
