He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Greene Hardy, Sr. and Roberta Barnes Hardy; his brother Carl Greene Hardy, Jr.; and his grandfather Randy Arthur of La Grange. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Ham Hardy; his daughters, Donna Hardy Killette (Jeff) of La Grange and Tracy Hardy Arthur (Michael) of La Grange; his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hardy of La Grange and Naomi Ham of Snow Hill; and his cousins, Baxter Hardy of La Grange and Gary Mewborn of La Grange.
