She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harry Thomas and Harriet Wade Hughes; her husband Robert Earl Whaley; her children, Brittany Whaley Strickland (Joseph) of Kinston and Robert Tyler Whaley (Heather) of Snow Hill; her grandchildren, Nicholas Christian Strickland, Addison Kaye Whaley and Robert Logan Whaley; and her brother Tommy Hughes (Debbie) of Snow Hill.
