He is survived by: his mother Alice Hines of Fountain, NC; his children, Courtney Ross, Delvecchio Newton of Snow Hill, NC and Khary Chad Newton of Baltimore; and his siblings, Berry Reid of Fountain, NC, Alice Barnes of Fountain, NC, Judy Pitt of Walstonburg, NC, Jeanette Petterson of Fountain, NC, Charlene Dickens of Washington, DC and Judy Carol Brown of Boston, MA. He is also survived by five grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
