He was predeceased by: his brother Bernice Lee Pridgen. He is survived by: his wife Clara Beaman Pridgen; his children, Ray Pridgen (Carol) of Snow Hill, Tricia Laws (Jerry) of Lexington and Paul Pridgen (Susan) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Michael Pridgen (Heidi) of Greenville, Melissa Dixon (Michael) of Snow Hill, Jennifer Beasley (Kevin) of Morehead City, Gretchen Laws of Friendsville, TN and Samuel Pridgen of Greenville; and his great grandchildren, Raeanne Dixon, Molly Beasley, Lillie Pridgen, Will Beasley, Reagan Dixon and Tucker Pridgen.
