He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Russell and Irene Sauls Wells; and his sisters, Debbie Wells and Joyce Wells. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Johnson Wells; his sons, Mark Wells of Snow Hill and Rodney Wells of Snow Hill; his sisters, Ann Wells Carter (Morris) of Snow Hill and Katherine Wells Smith (Grover) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Andrew Johnson and Cathy Victoria Wells; and his great grandchild Kennedy Wells.
