He is survived by: his wife Patsy Harrison Gabel; his children, Renee Gabel Letchworth (Kenneth) of Snow Hill and Kevin Gabel of Blackwater, VA; his siblings, Patricia G. Jones of New Bern, Brian Gabel (Sandy) of Ohio and Michael Gabel of New Bern; his grandchildren, Ryan Letchworth of Raleigh and Maegan Letchworth Houston (Mitchell) of Hugo; and his sister-in-law Brenda Jenkins of Hookerton.
