He was predeceased by: his parents, John Taylor "Buster" Hinnant, Jr. and Dicy Magnolia Sugg Hinnant. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Potts Hinnant; his sons, Marshall Chad Ellis (Wendy) and Daniel Hinnant; his grandchildren, Caden Ray Ellis and Caleigh Rose Ellis; his brother Greg Hinnant (Sharon); and his mother-in-law Rachel Potts.
