He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph Combs Sr. and Daisy May Combs; and his brother Landis Combs. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Bell Combs; his children, Lorrie Combs Hughes of Hookerton, Scott Randolph Combs (Suzanne) of Snow Hill and Kaylee Bansittidet (Richard) of Snow Hill; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hughes, Jacob Hughes, Charlie Hughes, Whitney Grant (Deric), Colby Combs, Alton Combs and Carianne Combs; his great grandchild Addison Grant; and his siblings, Barbara Barnes of Virginia, Florence "Bootsie" Letchworth of Snow Hill, Christine Sauls of Snow Hill, Brenda Faye Baker of Angier, Harvey Lee Combs of Snow Hill, Kenneth Combs of Elm City and John Combs of Kinston.
