She was predeceased by: her parents, Travis Murphy and Julia Murphy; her husband Melvin Vance Braxton; and her siblings, Melba Murphy Creech, Carolyn Murphy Gray, Bailey Murphy and Willard Murphy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Braxton of Tarboro and Jane Braxton Williams (Jim) of Clayton; her grandchildren, Thomas Williams, Michelle Williams and Meredith Williams; her son Jeff Braxton of Nashville; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Braxton, April Poage, Dylan Poage, Isaac Dorsett and Brandon Howlett; her son Mike Braxton (Coley) of Hobgood; and her grandchildren, Amelia Braxton and Bryan Braxton.
