It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Beatrice Clarke Bynum of Snow Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Freddie Bynum, Sr., Melvin Bynum, Ruby J. Joseph, Marylene Sutton, Annie M. Speight, Alma G. Speight, Linda J. Sharpe and Deborah L. Thompson; and her siblings, Veda Mercer, Alice Clarke Hopkins, Cynthia Clarke, Barbara Brinson, Freida Watson, Regina Smallwood, Ricky Phillips, Charles Clarke and Joseph Clarke. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
