He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Reynold Garner and Maebelle Jones Garner; his daughter Donna Lynn Garner Weston; and his brothers, Gary Garner and Phillip Garner.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hardy Garner; his daughter Genell Garner Pridgen (John) of Snow Hill; his son-in-law Timothy Jay Weston of Snow Hill; his grandchildren, John Hardy Pridgen, Alena Pridgen Carter (Raymond), Jeffrey Eugene Pridgen and Walter Allen Weston; his great grandchild James Perry Carter; and his siblings, Freida Garner Smith (Colin) of Goldsboro and Wallace Garner (Geraldine) of Farmville. He is also survived by friends; he was truly a loving husband, father and grandfather.
