It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Inez Wheeler Shingleton (Snow Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on April 15, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Wheeler and Beulah Carter Wheeler; her significant other Thomas Weldon "Welt" Shingleton; her son Thomas Weldon Shingleton, Jr.; and her great grandchild Jayden Christopher Shingleton.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Shingleton of Wilson, Shelia S. Carraway (Jay) of Snow Hill and Marshall Shingleton (Paula) of Stantonsburg; her grandchildren, Holly S. Tant (Jason) of Stantonsburg, Tiffany Shingleton of Wilson, Blair C. Conway (Jason) of Snow Hill and Lauren C. Pate (Berry) of Snow Hill; her great grandchildren, Landin Tant, Jase Shingleton, Jackson Conway, Thomas Conway, Henry Pate and J. B. Pate; and her caregiver Cerena Johnson-Armond. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
