With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ilene W. Jones (Snow Hill, North Carolina), whose life came to an end on April 15, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond "Ray" Worthington and Stella Brann Worthington; her husband William A. Jones; her son-in-law James Allen "Jim" Jackson; and her siblings, Luvenia, Drue Gray, Emma Lee, Grace, Marjorie, John William and Mark.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie Jones Jackson of Goldsboro and Susan Jones of Goldsboro; her granddaughter Melissa Jackson Chamoff (Eric) of Raleigh; her great grandchildren, Mae Chamoff (Michael) of Raleigh, Jackson Chamoff of Raleigh and Reese Chamoff of Raleigh; and her brother Robert Worthington (Alice) of Raleigh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jones Family Cemetery (3292 Grays Mill Rd, Snow Hill, NC 28580). A reception was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Home of Vickie J. Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to Wheat Swamp Christian Church, 3732 Wheat Swamp Road, La Grange, NC 28551.
