He is survived by: his brothers, Lyman and Jasper; his wife Lula Inez Brown Dixon; his children, William "Billy" Dixon (Kristy) of Cary and Lu Anne Dixon Price (David) of Snow Hill; and his grandchildren, Sara Dixon Sonnenberg (Eric) of Hillsborough, Benjamin Chappell Dixon of Raleigh, Caroline Frances Price and Ben Bardill of Raleigh.
