With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harry Douglas Whitley (Snow Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on January 6, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Whitley and Nina Kearney Whitley; and his siblings, Jean W. Rioux, Joyce W. Richardson, Roland "Bud" Whitley Jr., Bobby Whitley, Ronald Whitley and Paul Whitley.
He is survived by: his wife Dena Webb Whitley; his children, DeAnna Whitley Sanders (James) of Wilmington and Billie Whitley (Pearl Chalker) of Charleston, SC; his granddaughter Haydn Sanders; and his siblings, Evelyn W. Williams of Wilson, Helen W. Kennedy of Spring Hope and Raven Whitley of Kinston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
