We are sad to announce that on June 21, 2024, at the age of 79, Gary Reynolds Askew (Snow Hill, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Roscoe Needham Askew and Kathryn Jones Askew (Seymour); his stepfather Fred Seymour; and his brother Fenton Askew. He is survived by : his wife Angie Barrow Askew; his children, Reynolds Askew (Sherry) of Kinston, Shannon Askew of LaGrange and Ross Askew (Keri) of LaGrange; his grandchildren, Nora (Seth) of LaGrange, Cody of LaGrange, Steele of LaGrange and Sloan of LaGrange; his sister Delores Askew Jones of Florence, SC; and his daughter-in-law Brande Grant Watson of Snow Hill.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service (117 NW 3rd St, Snow Hill, NC 28580). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the New Hull Road Church Cemetery (1900 Joshua Mewborn Rd, Snow Hill, NC 28580).
