She is survived by: her children, Jenny M. Huffman (Thurman) of Snow Hill, Judy Stox of Hookerton, James Merritt (Barbara) of Greenville and Johnny Merritt (Angela) of Hookerton; her brother Willie Wood of Ayden; her grandchildren, Jennifer Huffman Pro (Rick), Meredith Stox Smith (Adam), Paige Stox Thereault (Brian), Jonathan Cole Merritt and Alec Merritt; her great grandchildren, Isabella Pro, Gianna Pro, Lucas Merritt and Jenna Merritt; and her niece Linda Price.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Snow Hill Cemetery (1112 Kingold Blvd, Snow Hill, NC 28580). A reception was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Merritt's Residence.
