She was predeceased by: her child Jack Monroe; her former husband Harper Sugg; her granddaughter Heather Pipkin; and her friend Melvin Oliver. She is survived by: her parents, Edward Sugg and Rosa Bright Sugg; her children, Jackie Monroe Parrott (Billy) of Kinston, Brenda Monroe Bagley of Snow Hill and Alton "Al" Monroe (Jane) of Snow Hill; her grandchildren, Stephanie Head (Chris) of Snow Hill, Jack Monroe of Orlando and David Monroe (Melissa) of Coppell; and her great grandchildren, Josh Head, Jacob Head and Grayson Monroe.
