She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Johnson and Gertrude Baker Black. She is survived by: her children, Mary Walker of Irvington, NJ, Esther Baker of Kinston, NC, Debra Hargett of Cove City, NC, Joyce Latham of New Bern, NC, Reginald Latham of Kinston, NC, Wanda Greene of Kinston, NC, Nedra Gooding (George) of Kinston, NC, Antonio Jones (Penny) of Fredericksburg, VA and James Cameron (Eloise); and her siblings, Lorizta Holly of Kinston, NC, Shelby Black of Washington, DC, Jimmy Black, Carrol Ray Black of Kinston, NC and Edward Johnson of La Grange, NC. She is also survived by Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Chapel of Trinity Funeral Service (1276 US-258, Kinston, NC 28504). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Southview Cemetery (Kinston, NC 28501).
