He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lee and Grant Heath of Indiana; his son Edward Earl Heath, Jr.; and his siblings, Pansy Hughes, Diane Johnson, Esther Lovitt and David Heath.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Mercer Heath; his stepsons, David Jeffrey Sauls (Shelia) of Goldsboro and Jacob Allan Sauls of Snow Hill; his granddaughters, Mackenzie Sauls and Lauren Nord; and his siblings, Marie Potter of Florida, Donna Moore of Walstonburg, Lorraine Lewis of Ayden and Jerry Heath of LaGrange.
