He was predeceased by: his wife Faye Strickland; and his son Christopher Scott Strickland. He is survived by: his children, Chip Strickland (Elaine) of Greenville and Tabatha Strickland of Siler City; and his brother Willis Dwight Strickland of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
