She was predeceased by: her son Jason Uzzell; and her parents, Rachel Harrison and Fred Harrison. She is survived by: her husband Jack Uzzell; her son Mark Uzzell; her daughter-in-law Bobbie Jo Murphrey of Snow Hill; her grandchildren, Katelin Uzzell of Snow Hill and Noah Uzzell of Snow Hill; her siblings, Gary Harrison of Paragonah, Keith Harrison of La Grange and Debra Jones of Goldsboro; her close friend Diane Kennedy of Kinston; and her caregivers, Betsy Murphrey, Linda Fields, Courtney, Briana, Crystal, Melinda, Seth, Annie, Claire and Dorothy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
