He is survived by: his parent Notie Belle Baines Fortner; his wife Marian Crisp Fortner; his son Jackie Wayne Fortner (Susan Ann); his grandchildren, Kelsy "Piccabo" Jacqueline Ector (Brent) and Samuel Elijah Fortner "Samo"; his great grandchild Jack Wilson Ector; his siblings, Johnny G. Fortner (Pat) of Murfreesboro, TN, Roger Fortner (Connie) of Clinton, TN, Josephine Moore of Bryson City, NC and Lois Crisp (Ray) of High Point; and also Alyse Ring. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
