She was predeceased by: her parent Robert W. Barnwell, Sr.; and her brothers, Holt Barnwell, Joe Barnwell and Dick Barnwell. She is survived by: her parent Willard Smith Barnwell; her children, Stephen Kirkpatrick (Jayne) of Oxford and Jean Kirkpatrick; her siblings, Forrest "Pete" Barnwell (Lana) of Raleigh and Bette Cooler of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Kirkpatrick (Cameron Conover) of Greensboro and Billy Kirkpatrick of Snow Camp. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
