He was predeceased by: his parents, William Grant and Barbara Brande Somers; and his brother Cecil Somers. He is survived by: his partner Gary Ferrell of Sneads Ferry, NC; his son Nick Somers (Jeanna Coleman) of Gibsonville; his siblings, Dale Somers of Gibsonville, Cheryl Pettigrew (David) of Gibsonville and Karol Gray (Don) of Waynesville, NC; his sister-in-law Pam Somers of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Sydnee Somers, Nolan Somers and Nora Somers.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Citty Funeral Home Chapel (308 Lindsey St, Reidsville, NC 27320).
