He was predeceased by: his mother Pat "Nana" Mitchell; his brother Michael McLaughlin; and his nephew Lil Jimmy. He is survived by: his father James Vincent McLaughlin of Knoxville, TN; his sons, Matthew of Wilmington, NC and Kyle, Jr. (Sheila Erickson) of Sneads Ferry; and his sisters, Donna Deeb of Hampstead, Theresa Mitchell of Sneads Ferry, Patricia Lee, Kathy Harper-Young of Arapahoe, Rebecca Emory of Sneads Ferry and Christine Smith (Vanceboro) of New Bern. He is also survived by thirteen nieces; seven nephews, eight great- nieces; and three great-nephews.
