It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene A. Whitaker of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, who passed away on October 13, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Allman and Josie Allman (Vann); her sister Elizabeth "Betty" Barnett; and her son Horace Whitaker, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Horace Whitaker; her daughters, Linda Young (Greg), Judy Whitaker (Kristi) and Kimberly Kolden (David); her grandchildren, Adam Whitaker, Meagan Whitaker, Brittany Loffredo (Ray) and Jessica Kolden-Campbell (Colin); her great grandchildren, Sophia Whitaker, Cain Whitaker, Sofia Loffredo and Antonio Loffredo; and also Sara Whitaker.
