He was predeceased by: his parents, Durwood Mall and Georgia Gamble Johnson; and his wife Vangie Brown Johnson. He is survived by: his daughter Georgia J. Butcher (Matthew) of Greensboro; and his grandchildren, Emma Hungrige (Devin), Abbey Butcher, Jacob Butcher and Sarah Butcher.
